2016: a bad year? No, a new beginning.

2016: a bad year? No, a new beginning. Donald_Trump_6905693-300x193
The Donald’s election as President of the USA was the defining moment of 2016. The alternative would have doomed us.

2016 began, for me, in the Philippines, where I now am. It had a less than auspicious beginning: I remember my shock at hearing about the death of David Bowie. But, while the toll of celebrities continued, this was not the most surprising thing about the year by any means.

That something was afoot became clear early on, in May, when Rodrigo Duterte, a fast talking populist, was elected as president of the Philippines. Most people in the West hardly noticed this, but it was a straw in the wind. It is true that Duterte’s route to power was laid open by the Philippines electoral system, which is single-stage, and the fact that the centrist vote was split between two popular candidates, Mar Roxas and Grace Poe. Duterte exploited this division expertly and won, on around 38% of the vote. Continue reading 2016: a bad year? No, a new beginning.

Islamophobia: a reasonable fear

Islamophobia: a reasonable fear 001mufti-300x275‘Phobia’ just means ‘fear of’. ‘Islamophobia’ therefore, is the fear of Islam. But Islam is not a group of people, a race or an ethnicity. It is just a religion. A religion is a set of ideas, so Islam is an ideology.

It is reasonable to fear an ideology that calls on its followers to kill you and destroy your culture; so why does ‘Islamophobia’ have special status? Why are people deliberately shamed into not stating that they are afraid of Islam and what it instructs its benighted followers to do to them?

Why should Islamophobia be reviled, when it is actually the only intelligent position to take? Is self-preservation a bad thing? Is it wicked to want to protect a culture that you are justly proud of? Is it wrong to want to protect yourself and your children from a 9th-century travesty of lies and delusions fabricated by an evil warlord whose closest modern equivalent is Adolf Hitler?Islamophobia: a reasonable fear 001mufti-300x275

Islamophobia is not only a reasonable fear, it is also the only intelligent and rational position to take.

Eisenhower and the Global Policeman

Eisenhower and the Global Policeman mushroom-cloudjpg-300x158In the aftermath of the seismic shock surrounding Donald Trump’s success in the US Presidential elections, it seems a good time to explain why his election was a good thing. Nearly all comment has so far devolved to the domestic consequences, within the US itself. However, over 96% of the world’s population didn’t get to vote in that election, but are nevertheless critically affected by it. The US is the Global Policeman; we have an interest.

So let’s look at things from a different perspective, shall we? From that of we non-USicans who yet shiver at its nuclear sabre-rattling.

Before the Second World War, the US had been isolationist. This attitude — that what happened elsewhere in the world was none of Washington’s business — was proposed by politicians, by media moguls like WR Hearst and even by military leaders. Continue reading Eisenhower and the Global Policeman

Obama: a history of disaster

Obama: a history of disaster Obama-Loves-America-Idiots-1200-300x188Barack Obama has been a disastrous President. Look at the history: Libya, turned from a functioning state into a non-state. Syria, turned from a functioning state into a non-state. All across the Islamic world, stable governments have been cast down by terrorist, Islamist insurrections, fomented by the Muslim Brotherhood and supported by Obama.

He has stirred up a hornet’s nest outside its borders but the US refuses, as always, to either accept the blame or resolve the problems it has caused. The entire Muslim world is now in flames and that is entirely the fault of  Barack Obama, assisted, lest we forget, by Hillary Clinton. Continue reading Obama: a history of disaster

The millennialist left gave us Trump

Jonathan Pie saying exactly what needs to be said and perfectly summing up the reasons why Tornface Trump will be the next President of the US. The millennialist ‘left’ did this. It’s all on them.

Culpability for Trump lies fair and square on the doorstep of regressive leftists and millennial SJWs who live in social-media echo chambers. All they can hear is their own voices parroting mantras pump-fed into them by Foucauldian Post-Modernists masquerading as ‘thinkers’.

They go to universities where points of view that oppose their bizarre concept of reality are suppressed, so that they don’t have to learn how to think. They ban anyone from speaking with whose ideas they disagree and live in a tiny bubble where they hear only that which they want to hear. When the truth bursts in, all they can do is suck their comfort blanket and bleat — or smash up the nursery. Continue reading The millennialist left gave us Trump

Trump Thanks Spoiled Brat Millennials Latest

Trump Thanks Spoiled Brat Millennials Latest donald-trump400-300x178A shaken world wakes up this morning to see Donald Trump as President-elect of the United States.

Naturally, ‘liberal’ motor-mouths and rent-a-quotes are already giving it laldy about how awful it is that a man like Trump could win.

I agree: Trump is awful; Trump is a boor; Trump is a misogynistic, sexist pig. He’s an oligarch, a perfect exemplar of USican morality — that is, he has none — and none too fucking bright, to put it mildly. His is the ideal face of Capitalism: dumb, self-interested, amoral and greedy. Continue reading Trump Thanks Spoiled Brat Millennials Latest

A Bonfire of English Vanities

A Bonfire of English Vanities Gunpowder_Plot_conspirators-300x154On Saturday it was Bonfire Night in Blighty. Yes, that spectacularly English version of the traditional festival at the onset of winter. While the rest of the world has Samhain, Hallowe’en, the Day of the Dead and others, the English celebrate a failed attempt to blow up the Houses of Parliament, otherwise known as the ‘Gunpowder Plot’.

Thirteen men, led by one Robert Catesby, smuggled 36 barrels of gunpowder into the vaults under the building. On the 5th of November 1605, Guy Fawkes was arrested attempting to light the fuse. Continue reading A Bonfire of English Vanities

Dave Muscato: a non-trans autogynephile

Dave Muscato: a non-trans autogynephile beforeandafter-300x163
Dave Muscato, a man with non-trans autogynephilia who thinks that just saying he is a woman now, makes him one. This is how far the Western autogynephile insanity has gone.

Just to go over some ground regarding the thorny subject of non-trans autogynephilia (AGP) again,  I thought I’d illustrate it with this charming chappy. Let me introduce Dave Muscato.  As you can see, Dave is a man, and a dapper one at that. But Dave wants us all to believe he is a woman and call him madam. Dave even believes that just saying he is a woman causes his naughty parts to become girly ones. (See here for the first article on this topic.)

Now I grant you, this sort of fuckwittery could only come from the land of everything stupid, that carbuncle on the arse of civilisation known as the United States of USica. This is a place, where, apparently, 25% of the people think the sun revolves around the Earth, over 50% believe said Earth was created in six days by a flying fart on a cloud (question: how was there a cloud before the atmosphere was created? Oh, never mind) and an unknown number of fuckwits, er, people, think that just saying so can change your birth sex organs from male to female.

Well, like fuck it can. Dave Muscato is a man. Continue reading Dave Muscato: a non-trans autogynephile

The English Don’t Wear Kilts

The English Don't Wear Kilts English-dont-wear-kilts-200x300

I have begun wearing kilts again. I used to do this years ago but, erm, passage of time rendered them, uh, too small. Alack, the Fleming waistline now oscillates between 36 and 40 and those distant days of 32waist/32leg are long since departed. However, last year I bought a few more and now I wear them pretty much every day. And when I’m not wearing the kilt, I wear tartan trews.

Now what could possibly have spurred this aberrant behaviour? A sudden dose of ‘alt-fashion’ in the old fool’s noggin? A passionate longing for the owld country? Simple homesickness? Senility? Continue reading The English Don’t Wear Kilts

Identity Politics — the secret oppression

Identity Politics -- the secret oppression muslimrape3-728x546-300x225
‘Identity politics’ deliberately empowers rapists — as long as they are ‘coloured’.

Identity Politics (IP) is a development of the thinking that gave us Political Correctness, which operates by denying an opponent the language needed to present a case, and thus preventing that person from doing so. It is intellectually lazy and morally bankrupt, because it is directly contradictory to free speech. You cannot speak freely if the language you must use has been censored so that you cannot express yourself. However, the  Regressive Left has never been very keen on free speech. It prefers that people toe the party line.

IP ‘identifies’ a hierarchy of privilege in the patriarchy. It proposes to counter this by saying that those who are awarded most patriarchal privilege should not be allowed to speak about matters that affect the less privileged. This applies even if the person speaking is a recognised expert quoting the best science.

Identity Politics -- the secret oppression muslimrape3-728x546-300x225
Jess Rowles, beaten by a Muslim taxi driver. For ‘Identity Politics’, that’s just too bad. His status as ‘oppressed’ gives him the right to beat a woman half to death. Don’t bother going to the police if this happens to you: as in Jess’s case, they won’t do a thing.

IP then follows up by constructing an inverted system of status such that those who ‘identify’ as being in an ‘oppressed group’ are regarded as being higher in status than those who are not. The more oppressed the group you ‘identify’ as being in is deemed to be, the more authority you have. This we might call a ‘status of oppression’.

Well, there is a system of status in the patriarchy. In the West and indeed most of the world, this posits that men are above women, high status men are above low status ones and so on. White men have higher status, under this, than black men, while Asian men are somewhere in between. It is a nasty, controlling, anti-human social order. However, it has one thing in its favour: it actually exists. It can be recorded and observed like any other natural phenomenon. It may not be desirable, but then, neither is bubonic plague and nobody argues that because the latter is not very nice, it doesn’t exist. Continue reading Identity Politics — the secret oppression
